Unpaid host testing
Put an idle Mac to work as an unpaid beta tester.
If your MacBook Air, mini, or Studio sits idle overnight, you can help validate real Remotion, stitch, and encode workloads. This stage is voluntary and unpaid; it is not an earning opportunity.
Unpaid means unpaid: RenderMac does not pay earnings, wages, credits, reimbursements, electricity costs, or payouts during this beta. Test activity creates no payable balance. You can pause or leave at any time.
Why volunteer a Mac?
- Help validate pairing, reconnects, thermals, artifact transfer, and real media compatibility.
- M1 Air Remotion finished HeavyMotion within about 25–30% of M2 Max wall-clock in our fleet bakeoff.
- Package energy on a 20-minute kinetic was about 5.4 Wh on M2 Max (~$0.001 at $0.1883/kWh). Electricity is not the floor; time and thermals are.
