Earnings honesty
What “hundreds per month” means - and what it does not.
We market idle Apple Silicon hosting as a path that can reach hundreds of dollars per month for hosts with meaningful available hours once RenderMac’s public host lane is open. That sentence is waitlist positioning. It is not a guarantee, a rate card, or a sample invoice.
What actually drives outcomes
- Hours you make available after pause and interactive use.
- Buyer demand and match rate for services your Mac can run.
- Job mix (Remotion vs short FFmpeg vs encode).
- Payout policy when Connect and ledger rails are publicly enabled.
What we measured (not earnings)
- Power: LongKinetic20m ~5.4 Wh absolute package energy on M2 Max (~$0.001 at $0.1883/kWh). Electricity is not the pricing floor. Power bakeoff.
- Capability: M1 Air Remotion HeavyMotion within ~25–30% of M2 Max. Fleet bakeoff.
We have not published a public host rate card or historical host invoices on this site. Do not trust any third-party screenshot that claims otherwise.
Host waitlist
If the honesty rails still sound fair, join the waitlist for early host access updates.
