How-to

Choose Remotion, FFmpeg, or VideoToolbox.

Most buyer confusion starts with service choice. Pick based on the job shape, not the brand name of the tool you happen to know best.

Use Remotion when

You are rendering a React/Chromium composition, personalized video template, kinetic layout, or frame range that needs deterministic composition execution.

Use FFmpeg when

You are stitching clips, transcoding, burning captions, normalizing audio, muxing streams, or doing predictable media transforms.

Use VideoToolbox when

You need Mac-native hardware encode behavior, especially H.264/HEVC paths that Linux containers cannot expose the same way.

If a job combines these, model it as a bounded media workflow with explicit inputs and outputs. Do not turn it into arbitrary shell access.

Developers and buyers can create an account and use available beta capacity without charges. Capacity is limited and there is no production SLA.

One RenderMac account can use both dashboards. See the unpaid beta terms.
