How-to

Pair a Mac for the unpaid host beta.

Host pairing exists so a local Mac can join the beta with a narrow device credential. This is voluntary testing; no earnings, wages, credits, reimbursements, or payouts accrue.

Steps

  1. Create or sign in to a host tester account at provider.rendermac.com.
  2. Accept the beta terms and the unpaid host tester acknowledgement.
  3. Generate a one-use pairing code from the provider dashboard.
  4. Open the native RenderMac Host app on the Mac and enter the pairing code.
  5. Confirm the Mac appears in the dashboard, then pause whenever you need the machine back.
The local host controller is loopback-only and per-launch-token authenticated. The host credential belongs in macOS Keychain, not browser storage. Choose org_private for your own test capacity or shared_beta to volunteer for unpaid cross-organization routing tests; either way the host talks to RenderMac through the public gateway, not directly to a buyer service on your LAN.
