Acceptable Use Policy
1.Prohibited content
You may not use the Service to submit, process, store, or distribute content that:
- Constitutes child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including AI-generated or "synthetic" depictions - see the zero-tolerance notice above.
- Is non-consensual intimate imagery, or sexually explicit content depicting a real, identifiable person created or shared without that person's consent (including deepfake/face-swap content).
- Infringes another party's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, where you do not own or have a license to the content and its resulting use. See the DMCA Policy for the takedown process.
- Is malware, ransomware, or any software designed to damage, disable, or gain unauthorized access to a computer system - including using RenderMac compute as a delivery or execution vector for such software.
- Facilitates or promotes terrorism, violent extremism, human trafficking, or other content that violates US federal criminal law.
- Is defamatory, harassing, or constitutes a credible threat of violence against an identifiable individual or group.
- Is election or public-health disinformation created with intent to deceive at scale (for example, synthetic media depicting a real candidate or public official saying or doing something they did not, distributed without disclosure that it is synthetic).
2.Prohibited technical behavior
Regardless of content, you may not:
- Attempt to break out of, escalate privileges within, or otherwise defeat the host-sandbox isolation that runs a job on a provider's device (see
isolation_tieron each service in the service catalog). - Use a named service (e.g.
ffmpeg.transcode.v1,remotion.render.v1) for a purpose other than what its schema and description advertise - for example, submitting cryptocurrency-mining workloads disguised as a render job, or using job input/output as a general-purpose file-storage or exfiltration channel unrelated to media processing. - Share, sell, or sublicense API keys, admin bearer tokens, or provider device credentials to a party outside your own organization.
- Circumvent rate limits, the job-write rate limiter, or the admission/capacity system through automation designed to defeat fair queueing (for example, submitting many low-value jobs solely to starve other buyers' queue position).
- Probe, scan, or attempt unauthorized access to any part of the Service's infrastructure, other organizations' data, or other providers' devices.
3.Enforcement
Depending on severity, RenderMac may respond to a violation of this policy with any of: cancelling the specific offending job, a warning, temporary suspension of an organization or device, permanent termination, forfeiture of pending provider payouts associated with the violation, and - where legally required or where content constitutes CSAM or an imminent threat to life - referral to NCMEC or appropriate law enforcement. Admin actions taken under this policy are recorded in an append-only audit log with the acting admin, the action, and the stated reason, consistent with RenderMac's general operating principle that no consequential action against an account happens without a durable, reviewable record.
4.Reporting abuse
To report suspected abuse of the Service - including CSAM, harassment, infringing content, or a security vulnerability - email support@rendermac.com with as much detail as you can provide (job ID, organization name if known, URLs, and a description of the violation). Reports are triaged by the on-call admin/ops role and, where applicable, escalated to the support_buyer/support_provider ticket queues described in RenderMac's admin RBAC model. A dedicated abuse@rendermac.com alias is planned but not yet provisioned as of the effective date above; use support@rendermac.com until that alias goes live.
