Burn SRT/ASS captions without owning an encode farm.

ffmpeg.caption_burn.v1 burns a trusted subtitle URL into video with bounded subtitle options. Pair it with stitch for UGC pipelines that need both assembly and burned-in text.

Service ID: ffmpeg.caption_burn.v1. Subtitle files are still untrusted media inputs — keep moderation and source validation in your app; RenderMac executes the bounded burn-in job.

Typical product flow

  1. Your app stores the master clip + caption asset URLs.
  2. Optionally stitch clips first.
  3. Estimate and create a caption burn job with an idempotency key.
  4. On webhook success, verify the artifact before publishing (verification guide).
