Never publish a render before you verify the artifact.

Terminal webhooks mean the job finished — not that your CDN object is safe to show. Check checksum, content type, and URL expiry before user-visible publish.

  1. Handle the signed webhook idempotently.
  2. Fetch artifact metadata and compare checksum/content-type.
  3. Only then copy/promote into your delivery bucket.
  4. If verification fails, surface an internal retry — do not show a partial file.
